Asphalt tonnage calculator
How much asphalt?
Use compacted installed depth and the matching density. Replace these example inputs with your supplier's assumptions.
Material to order
Quantity is rounded to three decimal places. Check site measurements and supplier requirements.

Paving block pack calculator.
Turn your checked area into a whole-pack order using your supplier’s stated coverage.
Your pack order
How the calculation works
Required coverage = net area × (1 + allowance ÷ 100). Divide by coverage per pack and round up to whole packs. For 47 m², 7% and 8.5 m² packs, the result is six packs covering 51 m².
Pack rounding and the allowance are separate. Confirm product, pattern, pack composition and border requirements before ordering. This tool calculates coverage, not construction suitability.

Driveway area calculator
Combine a rectangle and an optional triangle, then subtract excluded areas. Use perpendicular height for the triangle. Sections must not overlap.
Net plan area
Example: 8 × 5 m, minus a 2 m² bed, gives 38 m². Adding a separate triangle with a 4 m base and 2 m height adds 4 m², giving 42 m².
For more complex sites, calculate separate non-overlapping sections and add their areas. This tool calculates horizontal plan area, not slope-adjusted surface area.

Sub-base quantity calculator
Calculate geometric volume from your specified area and compacted depth. Add a matching supplier-provided compacted density if you need metric tonnes.
Material quantity
Example: 40 m² × 150 mm ÷ 1,000 gives 6 m³ compacted volume. The depth is an example, not a construction recommendation.
The displayed volume is not loose delivery volume. Confirm the supplier’s density basis and ordering units. An allowance does not convert compacted volume into loose volume; do not add an unexplained compaction factor.

Markup and gross margin calculator
Compare the two pricing methods using the same cost and percentage. Use your complete cost basis; the result does not set tax or recommend a profit target.
Selling prices before tax
Example: A cost of 3,000 with 25% markup gives 3,750. A target 25% gross margin gives 4,000. Markup is measured against cost; gross margin is measured against selling price.
Markup price = cost × (1 + percentage ÷ 100). Margin price = cost ÷ (1 − percentage ÷ 100). Values use your input currency without exchange-rate conversion.
